SLOPE INDICATOR
A slope indicator is an instrument used for measuring angles of slope (or tilt), elevation or inclination of an object with respect to gravity. Also known as a tilt meter, tilt indicator, slope meter, slope gauge, gradient meter, gradiometer, level gauge, level meter, pitch & roll indicator.
KINDS OF SLOPE INDICATOR
Slope indicators are available in both manual and digital forms.
MANUAL SLOPE INDICATOR
There are further two types of Manual Slope Indicators:

MANUAL SLOPE INDICATOR
There are further two types of Manual Slope Indicators:
1.The Ball Type:
In the ball type slope indicator, the ball moves to the lowest point of the curve under the effect of gravity and by reading the position of the ball against a graduated scale the angle can be read.
2.The Bubble Type:
In the bubble type, the bent tube is inverted and the bubble moves to the highest point. By reading the position of the bubble against a graduated scale the angle can be read.
DIGITAL SLOPE INDICATOR
Digital slope indicators have an extraordinary precision; the digital slope indicators use an advance technology and are simple, accurate and easy to use. Its signals and data are digital. It is used for the confirmation of a variety of angles and slopes in the engineering industry. The digital slope indicator uses a tilt sensor which provides results that are precise and computed with both analog and digital sensors being used for single-axis and dual-axis measurements.

FACTORS INFLUENCING THE SLOPE INDICATOR:
The accuracy in the results largely depends on the type of inclinometer and technology used in it. Given below are some of the other factors that tend to influence the Slope Indicator:
Gravity
Vibrations and shock
temperature, linearity, cross-axis sensitivity
Acceleration/deceleration
A clear line of vision between the user and the measured point is needed.
A definite object is required to obtain the utmost accuracy.
